Our Story
Born at the intersection of sustainability and international trade, CMetrics emerged from a simple yet powerful observation: as global trade becomes increasingly regulated around carbon emissions, businesses need sophisticated tools to stay competitive. We recognized that the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) was just the beginning of a fundamental shift in international trade—one that would require businesses to completely rethink their approach to compliance and supply chain management.
Founded in 2024, we set out to build more than just a compliance tool. Our vision is to create the world’s leading trade intelligence platform, helping businesses turn regulatory requirements into strategic opportunities. Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer
Isco brings over eight years of expertise in international trade consultancy, sustainability, carbon markets, and climate-tech to his role at CMetrics. With an MSc in Sustainability from Middlesex University (UK), he has diverse experiences that span from advisory services at KPMG to establishing key industry collaborations at Menthol Protocol. Isco’s deep understanding of both sustainability and international trade drives CMetrics’ strategic vision and innovation in carbon compliance solutions.
Hakki Ozdeneren, PhD
Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer
Hakki holds a PhD in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University, where his research focused on innovation, automation, and their economic impacts. As a former Assistant Professor at Sabanci University and Senior Economist at Revelio Labs, his work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and Business Insider. Hakki leads CMetrics’ technical strategy, combining academic rigor with practical applications in big data analytics and machine learning.
